Photo Poetry Camp

Every tween/teen will tell you that they know how to take photos-and yes they do. They also will probably tell you that they know how to write poetry of some kind. This camp is a combination of the two distinct forms of art, photography and poetry working together to create a new art form.  Students will learn about what makes a great photo, the rules of composition, how to photograph different subject matter, AND they will learn about poetry.  Their poetry will be about the images photographed, it will connect to specific images using different types of poetic styles.  We will print some of the best photos in a small format and present them with their poems.  Students must bring their own phone, digital camera, tablet or iPad to use.
