A youth advocacy writing camp for students in middle and high school. Rise Up & Write supports participants in understanding complex issues, imaging a better future, and using writing to inform and engage a variety of audiences. Led by Greater Madison Writing Project Educators and local writers, advocates, and activists. Use your voice, change the world!

When: July 13 – 17, 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Cost: Early Bird – $350 with registration before May 1, 2026; Regular Registration $400
Note: GMWP summer youth sessions are open to all young writers. If the registration cost presents a barrier to participation, please get in touch for needs-based assistance.
